Only 3% of UK broadband households have cancelled one or more over-the-top (OTT) video services within the past year, according to research from Parks Associates.
The research firm found that service cancellations and switching are an evolving part of viewer consumption and buying habits in the US market, a trend that is beginning to emerge in Western Europe. The 3% of broadband homes ending their service in the UK, where a third of such households currently pay for an OTT subscription, was three times lower in the US, where 59% of homes currently subscribe.
